About this role
Carvana is hiring an A-Level Experienced Auto Technician for the 1st shift at their inspection centers. The role requires performing diagnostics and a wide range of vehicle repairs, including timing belts, suspension work, heavy engine work, advanced electrical repair for electric and hybrid vehicles, and climate control, wheel bearing, and axle repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues (electric and hybrid vehicles)
- Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles
- Repair vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores
- Perform heavy engine work and related maintenance
Technical Overview
You will execute automotive diagnostics and repairs on all makes and models, from timing belts and suspension systems to heavy engine work. You will also diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues for electric and hybrid vehicles and complete mechanical and systems repairs including wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems (ACs and heater cores).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive mechanic with 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience and strong diagnostic ability for complex issues. They can perform general to complex repairs across multiple vehicle systems, including advanced electrical troubleshooting for electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as repairs for wheel bearings, axles, and climate control components like ACs and heater cores. They can also handle mandatory overtime when business needs require it.
