About this role
Carvana seeks an Experienced Auto Technician for the 1st shift role. You will perform diagnostics and repairs ranging from light maintenance to heavy engine work, including advanced electrical repairs for electric and hybrid vehicles and repairs to wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues (electric and hybrid vehicles)
- Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles
- Repair vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores
- Perform heavy engine work and related maintenance
Technical Overview
The role focuses on automotive diagnostics and repair execution, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work. You will also troubleshoot and repair advanced electrical issues for electric and hybrid vehicles and handle climate control repairs such as ACs and heater cores, plus wheel bearing and axle repairs.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive mechanic with at least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience who can perform diagnostics and handle general to complex repairs. They should be comfortable troubleshooting advanced vehicle electrical issues, including electric and hybrid vehicles, and completing repairs for wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems (ACs and heater cores). They must also be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
