About this role
Carvana is hiring an Experienced Auto Technician to perform diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicle systems. The role includes general to complex mechanical repairs, advanced electrical issue repair (including electric and hybrid vehicles), and climate control, wheel bearings, and axle repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues (electric and hybrid vehicles)
- Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles
- Repair vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores
- Perform heavy engine work and related maintenance
Technical Overview
You will diagnose automotive problems and carry out mechanical repairs such as timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work. The job also requires electrical troubleshooting and repair for electric and hybrid vehicles, plus repairs to wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems including ACs and heater cores.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive mechanic with at least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience, strong diagnostics skills, and the ability to perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models. They can troubleshoot advanced vehicle electrical issues, including electric and hybrid vehicles, and complete repairs on wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems. They are flexible to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
