About this role

Carvana is hiring an experienced Automotive Mechanic Tech for the 2nd shift to complete automotive repairs and diagnostics. The role includes complex mechanical work, electrical diagnostics for electric and hybrid vehicles, and repairs for wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues (electric and hybrid vehicles), Complete wheel bearing and axle repairs, Repair climate control systems including ACs and heater cores, Work mandatory overtime as needed to deliver customer-ready vehicles

Technical Overview

This role is centered on automotive diagnostics and repair execution across mechanical and electrical systems. You will perform timing belt and suspension repairs, heavy engine work, troubleshoot advanced electrical issues in electric and hybrid vehicles, and complete HVAC-related repairs such as ACs and heater cores.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced auto technician with at least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience and strong diagnostic capabilities. They can complete general to complex repairs, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work, and they can diagnose advanced electrical issues affecting electric and hybrid vehicles.
