About this role
Field technician role supporting autonomous onboard and wireless technologies in Freeport-McMoRan’s mining operations, focused on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and support onboard and wireless technologies used in Mine Operations
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues
- Perform preventative maintenance on low-voltage devices and wireless infrastructure
- Maintain documentation and SOP adherence
- Support 2-way radios, GPS, and wireless clients
Technical Overview
Hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting for onboard and wireless mining tech, with experience in Rajant/Cisco networking, low voltage systems, GPS, and 2-way radios; strong adherence to SOPs and MIS policies.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level field technician with 2+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing autonomous onboard and wireless mining technologies. They should be comfortable working in extreme conditions, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and be able to follow SOPs and MIS policies while supporting safety programs.
Must-Have Skills
