About this role
Autonomy Engineer responsible for design, definition, development, and testing of robotics hardware for autonomy, including BOM management and space claims for autonomous components.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Level 8 (L8) and Level 6 (L6) BOM structures
- Lead space claim and full machine layout for autonomy components
- Conduct system configuration checks including BIQ verification
- Maintain high model quality using topdown modeling
- Support design reviews and CPPD activities
Technical Overview
Role centers on CAD/PLM tooling (Creo and Team Center) with BOM structures (L8/L6), MIO workflows, BIQ verification, and CPPD collaboration for autonomy hardware integration.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Autonomy hardware engineer with CAD experience (Creo) and strong BOM management skills, who can lead integration and regulatory compliance for autonomy components on Caterpillar systems. They should be willing to relocate to Tucson and work on-site with travel as needed.
