About this role

Dexian is seeking an AV Technician to support Tallahassee-based live events on a contract basis. The role involves setting up and operating AV gear, configuring media equipment, and providing on-site Tier 2 technical support with strong documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate AV equipment for live events
Install and configure media equipment (Teams rooms, projectors, microphones, video monitors, sound boards)
Alter venue layout to optimize acoustics
Provide Tier 2 support and troubleshoot complex issues
Generate and maintain technical documentation and coordinate service calls

Technical Overview

Role centers on hands-on AV hardware/software for live events, including Teams Rooms, projectors, microphones, video monitors, and sound boards. Requires advanced troubleshooting and the ability to generate technical documentation and manage service/warranty items; on-site coordination with IT Services Office.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced AV technician with hands-on experience setting up audio-visual equipment for live events, comfortable with on-site support, and capable of Tier 2 troubleshooting and maintaining documentation.
