About this role
Responsible for providing product to the lines and moving finished pallets to the warehouse. Performs barcode-related handling tasks while ensuring packaging and product quality meet daily targets and correctness requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify barcoded fittings and associated packaging correctness (labels, cartons/cases, ink jet printed information, case count, pallet configuration)
- Load hoppers with full bins of parts for barcoding or packaging
- Detect, segregate, and isolate non-conforming quality defects and notify QA/Supervisor/Manager
- Transport finished pallets from wrapper staging area to the warehouse
- Meet daily performance goals targeted to 100% output
Technical Overview
Works with barcode scanning and an RF scanner to verify barcoded plastic fittings and their packaging details. Identifies non-conforming quality defects visually and by understanding appearance/fit/form/function, and supports correct pallet configuration before warehouse transport.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an operations-focused material handler who is comfortable working on a 2nd shift in a manufacturing environment. They have strong attention to detail for barcode scanning, packaging verification, and quality defect identification, with the ability to safely move pallets and communicate issues to supervisors and QA.
