Provide technical guidance for turbine capital projects, from origination through commissioning, including design, cost estimates, schedules, and regulatory coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scoping and technical specifications
- Prepare cost estimates and schedules
- Review vendor submittals and engage with contractors
- Support permitting and regulatory activity
- Mentor junior engineers
Technical Overview
Extensive engagement with gas/steam turbine technology, emissions estimates, heat & material balances, and project documentation; strong vendor collaboration and regulatory interfacing.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanical engineer with 2+ years on turbine-related capital projects, strong vendor management across multiple sites, and EIT/FE certification (PE preferred) to lead design, planning, and regulatory activities.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited curriculum2+ year(s) relevant engineering experienceAbility to demonstrate the unique technical skills & core competencies for this engineering levelEIT/FE strongly preferred
Nice-to-Have Skills
PE (Professional Engineer) certification preferredExperience with capital projects for gas and steam turbinesVendor management across multiple sites
