About this role

Behavioral Health Worker provides daily patient care under supervision at Midwest Center for Youth and Families, delivering DBT-informed behavioral health programming for youth ages 10-18 and coordinating safety.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in ongoing assessment of safety & emotional needs of each patient
Implement elements of treatment plan and identified interventions
follow clinical and unit programming, documentation as required
DBT skills coaching with patients
basic group facilitation

Technical Overview

Clinical duties include DBT coaching, group facilitation, safety/emotional needs assessment, and documentation to support treatment plans in a residential psychiatric setting.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a compassionate behavioral health worker with DBT exposure and 0-1 year psychiatric setting experience, able to support 40 hours per week in Indiana within a residential youth program.

Must-Have Skills

High School diploma or GED is required.

One year of experience in psychiatric setting with patients aged 10-18yrs (preferred).
