Business Analyst II - Tariff Mitigation & Transportation Analytics

Avnet is seeking a Business Analyst II to support tariff mitigation and recovery initiatives and provide freight and transportation analytics. The role partners across Global Trade Compliance, Transportation, Logistics, Finance, and Operations teams to find cost savings, improve data accuracy, and deliver actionable insights through reporting and forecasting.

• Analyze global import and export data for tariff mitigation opportunities
• Support development, tracking, and automation of recovery programs for accurate tariff refunds
• Develop automated dashboards and KPIs to track transportation costs, carrier performance, and shipment trends
• Perform root-cause analysis on cost variances, billing discrepancies, and service failures
• Build and maintain scalable datasets, reports, and dashboards using Power BI and Excel

The role focuses on analyzing global import/export data for tariff opportunities (including HTS reclassification, duty drawback, and country-of-origin optimization) and developing forecasting models for financial impact. It also builds and maintains automated datasets, reports, and dashboards using Power BI and Excel, along with KPI tracking and root-cause analysis for transportation cost and billing/service issues.

The ideal candidate is a mid-level Business Analyst II with strong analytical and financial skills, experience analyzing global import/export data, and practical knowledge of tariff mitigation and recovery activities. They are highly detail-oriented, able to work cross-functionally with Global Trade Compliance, Transportation, Logistics, Finance, and Operations teams, and can deliver actionable insights using large datasets with tools like Power BI and Excel.
