About this role
This role supports business development for Williams in the natural gas industry by leading projects and transactions and developing solutions to complex problems. The position requires strong market and customer insight to assess opportunities, forecast financials, and influence cross-functional partners to drive results.
Key Responsibilities
- Anticipate customer needs and identify new solutions
- Identify, monitor and estimate contributors to costs
- Partner on sophisticated greenfield business opportunities using financial and quantitative information
- Accurately forecast financial information and make prudent expenditure decisions
- Develop basin, customer and competitor intelligence and influence recommendations
Technical Overview
Focus is on natural gas business development: analyzing market trends, energy economics, basin/customer/competitor intelligence, and using financial and quantitative information to evaluate greenfield opportunities and M&A/commercial transactions. Work includes forecasting and decision support tied to costs, expenditures, and strategic organizational impact.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Business Development Representative for the natural gas industry with at least 2+ years of relevant experience (5+ for Rep III, 7+ for Rep Sr). They are strong in energy market fundamentals and economics (commodity pricing, basin fundamentals, competitor strategies) and can forecast financials and develop greenfield opportunities in partnership with cross-functional teams and investment banks.
