About this role
Business Development Representative focused on sales lead generation for target accounts. The role prospect, educate, qualify, nurture leads through the buyer’s journey, and set appointments for the sales team while logging activities in Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop target accounts for sales-ready leads
- Run outbound calling and outbound email campaigns to target accounts
- Research executive contact information using Google, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and Salesforce
- Counter top-of-funnel objections and progress prospects via sales KPI quotas
- Schedule appointments and log activities in Salesforce for handoff to sales consultants
Technical Overview
Sales execution role using common sales research and CRM tooling, including Salesforce and LinkedIn, plus lead research platforms such as ZoomInfo and Google. No engineering or software development responsibilities.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level inside sales professional with 1+ year of experience in business development, lead generation, inside sales, or recruitment. They are comfortable with cold calling and multichannel outreach, can qualify prospects using strong discovery and objection handling, and consistently set appointments with C-suite and other key decision makers. They have experience using Salesforce (or a related CRM) and strong familiarity with LinkedIn.
