About this role
Develop and execute complex data analysis and deliver data-based products for business decision-making. Build and maintain data warehouse report applications using SQL, coordinate project delivery, and support performance tuning and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine how decision support systems provide required data
- Perform modeling of information sources and flows
- Develop strategic report applications from the data warehouse using SQL
- Establish connectivity to operations source systems and data repositories
- Performance-tune existing SQL queries and conduct training on developed applications
Technical Overview
Hands-on data developer focused on data discovery, modeling, and building data warehouse-backed applications. Strong SQL development, database design/data integrity knowledge, and performance tuning are central, with preferred experience across Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, Amazon RedShift, Snowflake, Oracle plus ETL via SSIS, Python, Informatica, or Talend.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level data/BI developer with 4+ years of experience building data warehouse-backed reporting and decision support applications using SQL. They have strong expertise with at least one major database platform (Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, Amazon RedShift, Snowflake, or Oracle) and experience with ETL tooling such as Microsoft SSIS, Python routines, Informatica, or Talend.
