GovCIO is seeking a senior-level Business System Analyst (Remote) to provide hands-on operational and technical support for enterprise financial systems with a primary focus on Deltek Costpoint. The role emphasizes independent execution of SQL querying, report development in Cognos embedded in Costpoint, and user security/permission administration.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as primary operational support for Deltek Costpoint (system support, issue triage, data validation)
Securely access enterprise systems using VPN for analysis/reporting/troubleshooting
Write, execute, and troubleshoot SQL queries using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Develop, maintain, and enhance Cognos reports embedded within Costpoint leveraging SQL-based data sources
Administer and support Costpoint user security and permissions (role assignments, access reviews, access troubleshooting)

Technical Overview

You will support Deltek Costpoint production operations, including issue triage and data validation. The technical scope includes using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to query Costpoint-related databases and developing/maintaining IBM Cognos reports embedded within Costpoint using SQL-based data sources, plus administering Costpoint user security and permissions.

The ideal candidate is a senior Business System Analyst with 5–8 years supporting enterprise business systems, specifically hands-on Deltek Costpoint experience in production. They can independently troubleshoot and validate Costpoint issues, write SQL using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and maintain Cognos reports embedded within Costpoint while managing user security and permissions.
