The role ensures production means are ready for SOP, supports new launches and serial production, and drives continuous improvement using Lean tools.

  • Define cutting/lead preparation/crimping process requirements (machines, parameters, tooling)
  • Ensure production means availability at SOP via planning and supplier follow-up
  • Lead equipment/tooling acquisition, installation, validation, and ramp-up
  • Optimize manufacturing processes and drive Lean continuous improvement (VSM, SIPOC, Kaizen)
  • Prepare/manage CAPEX requests and maintain process/tooling documentation (work instructions, standards, technical files)

Defines process requirements (machines, parameters, tooling) for engineering changes and new projects, and manages equipment/tooling acquisition, installation, validation, and ramp-up. Uses Lean methods (VSM, SIPOC, Kaizen) to optimize cycle times, balance production lines, and monitor tooling performance, capacity, and inventory readiness.

The ideal candidate is a process engineer experienced in manufacturing process definition and optimization for cutting, stripping, crimping, sealing, and lead preparation. They have strong Lean continuous improvement experience using VSM, SIPOC, and Kaizen, and can manage tooling/equipment installation, validation, ramp-up, and CAPEX planning for new launches and serial production.
