About this role
This role leads ICT infrastructure planning and implementation for global capital projects, including new pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and major renovations. You will oversee scope, design adherence, and build-out activities spanning technology rooms, physical networking, logical/wireless network designs, and virtualized infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ICT infrastructure aligned to project schedules and budgets
- Lead logical and wireless network designs and coordinate network requirements and sizing
- Oversee build-out of technology rooms and physical networking installation
- Coordinate virtualized computing infrastructure requirements using VMware ESXi clusters and VMs
- Define and implement digital visual factory and video surveillance system requirements while tracking risks and issues
Technical Overview
The technical scope includes design and build-out of server and network infrastructure rooms (MDF/IDF and ISP demarc), structured cabling and switching, logical networking (segmentation and addressing), wireless network design and implementation (predictive models, surveys, WAPs), and virtualized computing infrastructure using VMware ESXi clusters and VMs. You must understand OT vs. IT integration using the Purdue Model and support manufacturing environments with GxP considerations, including digital visual factory and video surveillance systems.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an IT infrastructure technical lead with hands-on experience designing and building technology rooms (Server, MDF, IDF, ISP Point of Entry/Demarc) and delivering physical and logical network designs for large facility capital projects. They are strong in wireless and virtualized infrastructure (VMware ESXi clusters and VMs), understand the Purdue Model and OT vs. IT, and have exposure to GxP manufacturing environments.
