About this role
The Carelon Account Executive III serves as the primary client lead for Nevada's 988 Crisis Call Response system, overseeing a complex 24/7/365 behavioral health program. The role focuses on strategic account management, contract/KPI ownership, client satisfaction, and driving retention and growth through renewals, upsells, and RFP leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive client retention through client strategy and deep understanding of contracts, service levels, and client KPIs
- Develop account plans with stakeholders and achieve shared goals
- Identify and execute cross-sell/upsell opportunities to meet gross margin, P&L and EBITDA targets
- Lead in client meetings, upsells and RFPs / rebids
- Manage contract terms and deliverables and lead communications with C-suite leadership
Technical Overview
This is an account management and operational oversight role centered on crisis services delivery components including crisis call centers, mobile crisis dispatch, stabilization resources, and follow-up care. It emphasizes data-driven performance management, KPI tracking, and financial target attainment (gross margin, P&L, EBITDA) alongside executive-level stakeholder communications.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior account executive with 8+ years in sales and/or account management and strong strategic account leadership. They can manage complex statewide behavioral health program accounts, drive client retention through contract/KPI ownership, and deliver growth targets using data-driven performance management, cross-sell/upsell, and RFP leadership.
