About this role
Category Analyst - Food will identify insights and opportunities to drive Hershey’s category growth, leveraging syndicated data and internal tools to shape customer strategy and initiatives at designated retailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboratively work with Category Management and Sales Leadership to uncover insights, trends, shopper behaviors and competitive activity
- Complete cross-functional projects with internal teams such as sales, category management, marketing, shopper insights and demand planning
- Extensive knowledge of traditional category management tools (JDA, IRI, Numerator, Symphony loyalty data)
- Present insights to customers in live environment
- Develop category strategy & initiatives across retailers
Technical Overview
Utilizes traditional category management tools (JDA, IRI, Numerator, Symphony loyalty data) and analytics to inform strategy; presents insights using PowerPoint; collaborates across sales, category management, and demand planning.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Category Analyst with 1-3 years of CPG sales experience, proficient with JDA, IRI, Numerator, and Symphony loyalty data, and capable of turning shopper insights into actionable category growth plans.
