About this role
US Foods is hiring a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver for Monday–Saturday routes with a 4AM start. The driver delivers products to customers, unloads using tools like a two-wheeler or pallet jack, verifies delivery accuracy and signatures, handles collections/payments when applicable, and completes pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
Technical Overview
This is a non-technical but safety-critical delivery operations role requiring compliant CDL Class A operation. The driver must manage trailer loading/unloading processes, conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, handle deliveries in inclement weather with frequent stops, and maintain accurate documentation while communicating in English.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a CDL Class A driver with at least 6 months of commercial driving experience (or 3 months in food and/or beverage delivery). They can safely deliver to customers, handle unloading with a pallet jack or two-wheeler, verify delivery accuracy and signatures, and complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections. They are comfortable with inclement weather and communicate clearly in English.
