Central Procurement Specialist I

This role executes procurement activities to source materials and goods cost-effectively while adhering to Entergy policies and core values. The Central Procurement Specialist I processes RFQs, resolves invoice mismatches (Over, Short, Damaged/Discrepant), and supports storm and emergency response roles as assigned.

• Process RFQs and coordinate with stakeholders on specifications and requirements
• Resolve invoice mismatches including Over, Short, Damaged and Discrepant issues
• Select appropriate sourcing channels and delivery methods based on material requests
• Provide reporting, tracking, and expediting as required
• Perform storm role duties via Storm Assignment Management System (SAMS) / nuclear Emergency Response Organization (ERO)

The position focuses on purchasing and supply chain execution using Entergy purchasing systems, processes, and sourcing channels. It includes RFQ coordination, commercial terms management, reporting/tracking/expediting, and operational readiness via the Storm Assignment Management System (SAMS) and nuclear Emergency Response Organization (ERO).

The ideal candidate is an entry-level procurement professional who understands purchasing and supply chain fundamentals and can execute RFQs with strong accuracy around specifications, quantities, schedule requirements, and commercial terms. They are safety-minded, can resolve Over, Short, Damaged (OS&D) invoice mismatches, and can perform storm role duties through the Storm Assignment Management System (SAMS). They should be able to work in a hybrid setup with in-office days in Hammond, Louisiana.
