About this role
This role leads product certification strategy and compliance planning for aerospace systems. The engineer interprets regulatory material, audits verification artifacts, and provides technical direction for certification documentation and change classification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead programs in determining product certification strategy and certification basis
- Lead compliance planning and determination of means of compliance
- Interpret aircraft regulatory material and determine project impact
- Audit project / product artifacts and verification activities to assess compliance
- Provide technical leadership for certification documentation approval/sign-off
Technical Overview
You will drive compliance against civil aircraft regulations and standards such as RTCA/DO-254, DO-178C, and ARP4754A (as applicable), establishing certification basis and means of compliance. The work includes interpreting regulatory material, auditing product artifacts and verification evidence, and classifying product changes to support certification outcomes.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Certification Engineer in aerospace/aviation compliance, able to lead certification strategy and establish a certification basis. They have hands-on experience interpreting civil aircraft regulations (including RTCA/DO-254, DO-178C, and/or ARP4754A) and auditing verification artifacts to ensure compliance with safety and certification requirements.
