About this role
This CNA role provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of an RN. The position supports multiple patient populations across med-surg and related unit areas while completing required competencies in an introductory period.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic and intermediate nursing care under RN direction
- Complete established competencies within the designated introductory period
- Support patient care across general nursing unit, special care, maternal child, and pediatric areas
- Assist with care for patients with high-risk conditions
- Perform related duties as assigned
Technical Overview
This is a clinical support role rather than technology-focused. It emphasizes executing nursing care responsibilities for assigned patients in a variety of unit specialties (maternal child, nursery, pediatric, GI lab, chemical dependent, psychiatric, emergency, surgical services).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with at least 2 years of clinical experience, comfortable delivering basic and intermediate nursing care under the supervision of an RN. They have completed required training (nurse aide, medical assistant, or EMT program) and can support a wide range of med-surg patient populations with compassionate, empathetic care.
