About this role
This full-time, days role works in the scrub capacity to assist during surgical procedures. The Surgical Technologist prepares the operating room, maintains aseptic technique, and manages case setup and breakdown for assigned surgeries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain aseptic technique
- Set up required equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies
- Scrub and pass instruments and equipment during surgical procedures
- Pull cases as needed and break down cases at end of procedure
- Set up operating room and supplies for day/following day's schedule (available for call)
Technical Overview
The role emphasizes aseptic technique and operating room readiness, including setting up equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies. The Surgical Technologist scrubs and passes instruments and equipment, pulls cases as needed, and breaks down cases after procedures.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a certified Surgical Technologist trained through a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program and currently AHA BLS certified. They have the ability to maintain aseptic technique, set up sterile supplies and instrumentation, scrub and pass instruments, and prepare the operating room for scheduled cases.
