Civil Engineer, Data Center Engineering

AWS is seeking a Civil Engineer for Data Center Engineering, supporting the Data Center Template Engineering team. The engineer will create, review, and release civil engineering improvements and next-generation design work, ensuring designs are resilient and cost effective.

• Create, review and release data center Civil Engineering improvements and designs for the next gen data center design
• Provide relevant feedback into Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for civil engineering systems
• Design resilient, cost effective data center systems
• Justify and communicate technical decisions to Senior Management
• Drive continuous advancements and improvements with designs

You will develop civil engineering infrastructure strategy and contribute to continuous improvements for data center civil engineering systems. The role includes providing feedback to Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications to standardize and accelerate global data center design execution.

The ideal candidate is a civil engineer experienced in data center infrastructure design, with a strong ability to define and deliver resilient, cost-effective civil engineering systems. They can provide technical feedback into Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications, and clearly communicate design decisions to senior leadership.
