About this role
Remote civil/structural engineer responsible for design and review of Nuclear Safety-Related and Non-Safety-Related SSCs, with emphasis on concrete and steel structures and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review SSCs
- Coordinate with disciplines and consultants
- Develop requirements documents and design reports
- Oversee suppliers and review technical information
- Communicate with regulators and contractors
Technical Overview
Engineering scope includes structural analysis and design using ANSYS, LS-DYNA, and SAP2000, with codes ASCE 7, ACI 349/318, IBC, and AISC N690; regulatory eligibility under 10 CFR Part 810 and QA considerations per NQA-1.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior civil/structural engineer with 5+ years of nuclear or non-nuclear structural design experience, proficient with concrete and steel design, and knowledgeable about governing codes and regulatory requirements.
