About this role
US Foods is hiring a Class A Delivery Driver responsible for safely driving and delivering products to customer locations on a defined weekday schedule. The work includes unloading using warehouse/handling equipment, verifying delivery accuracy with customers and signatures, and handling collections/payments when applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive trucks and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Unload products from the trailer using two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
Technical Overview
Operate CDL Class A vehicles and maintain DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance by completing pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections. Manage delivery execution in inclement weather with frequent stops, unloading via two-wheeler/pallet jack/by hand, and accurate delivery documentation through customer verification and signatures.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a CDL Class A driver with at least 6 months of commercial driving experience (or 3 months delivering food/food and beverage) and the ability to consistently meet scheduled delivery times. They can safely drive and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, unload using a two-wheeler/pallet jack/by hand, verify deliveries with customers, and communicate effectively in English in inclement weather.
