About this role
US Foods is hiring a Class A Logistics Driver to deliver products to customers and meet scheduled delivery times. The driver will unload using a two-wheeler or pallet jack, verify delivery accuracy, obtain signatures, handle payments when applicable, and complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
Technical Overview
This is a transportation and delivery operations role centered on safe CDL Class A operation and delivery compliance. The driver performs manual unloading tasks, verifies delivery accuracy with customers, records confirmations, and ensures equipment readiness via pre-trip and post-trip inspections while communicating clearly in English.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a CDL Class A driver with at least 6 months of commercial driving experience (or 3 months in the food and/or beverage delivery industry). They can meet scheduled delivery times, safely unload using a pallet jack or two-wheeler, complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and accurately collect delivery confirmations and signatures. Strong English communication and customer-facing professionalism are required.
