This role is responsible for maintaining the operational security configuration for classified information systems and networks while meeting USG and DoD requirements. You will serve as a systems administrator for classified Windows and Linux environments and support RMF/ATO, vulnerability remediation, and incident response activities.

  • Maintain RMF and Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements
  • Perform security configuration per System Security Plan (SSP) and applicable policies
  • Build, harden, maintain, and troubleshoot classified Windows/Linux systems and networks
  • Install and maintain security software solutions (SCAP, Splunk, McAfee, Nessus, WSUS, One Identity)
  • Support STIG/Nessus findings remediation, self-inspections, incident response, and contingency testing

The position focuses on classified systems security governance (RMF/ATO/SSP, Continuous Monitoring) and hands-on administration of hardened Windows and Linux workstations/servers. It includes installing and managing security tooling (SCAP, Splunk, McAfee, Nessus, WSUS, One Identity), remediating STIG and Nessus findings, and supporting backup/restore and contingency/disaster recovery.

The ideal candidate is a mid-level cybersecurity and systems administrator with 5+ years supporting information security and classified system/network administration. They have hands-on experience with RMF/ATO processes, STIG remediations, and vulnerability scanning/management using Nessus, and can manage classified Windows and Linux workstation/server security configurations.
