About this role
Field-based Clinical Specialist supporting joint replacement surgeries by assisting surgeons in the operating room with pre-operative planning, system setup, and real-time procedural workflows. Includes CT-based planning, implant sizing, OR readiness, troubleshooting, training events, and on-call coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain competency in solo case coverage for manual and robotic procedures through hands-on training
- Assist surgeons with pre-operative CT-based planning, implant sizing, and positioning using advanced software
- Support full case preparation including instrumentation checks, equipment setup, and OR readiness
- Troubleshoot technical issues confidently and efficiently in the operating room
- Provide on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays
Technical Overview
Provides clinical and technical support for Mako SmartRobotics(TM) robotic workflows and manual orthopedic procedures. Uses CT-based planning and advanced software for implant sizing and positioning, performs registration support, manages instrumentation/equipment setup, and troubleshoots in the OR.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a clinical professional capable of supporting orthopedic surgeons with both robotic (Mako) and manual joint replacement workflows. They are comfortable performing CT-based planning, implant sizing, and OR setup while troubleshooting in real time and completing account coordination tasks including inventory management and logistics.
