About this role
Clinical Specialist role supporting orthopedic (joint replacement) surgeons with both robotic and manual procedure workflows. You will assist with pre-operative CT-based planning, implant sizing, system setup, intra-operative support, training, and account coordination, including on-call coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain competency in solo case coverage for manual and robotic procedures through hands-on training
- Assist surgeons with pre-operative CT-based planning, implant sizing, and positioning using advanced software
- Support full case preparation including instrumentation checks, equipment setup, and OR readiness
- Troubleshoot technical issues confidently and efficiently in the operating room
- Provide on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays
Technical Overview
Supports Mako SmartRobotics (TM) robotic workflows alongside manual orthopedic procedures in the OR. Performs CT-based planning, implant sizing, and registration using advanced software; manages instrumentation checks, equipment setup, troubleshooting, and case documentation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a clinical professional (nursing, physical therapy, surgical technology, or related) who can support orthopedic surgeons in the operating room. They have strong hands-on experience with OR workflows, and the ability to perform CT-based planning and implant sizing for both robotic (Mako) and manual procedures while providing on-call coverage.
