About this role
Stryker seeks a Field-based Clinical Specialist to support joint replacement surgeries across two locations in Florida. The role partners with surgeons in the OR to handle pre-operative planning, case preparation, system setup, and real-time procedural workflows for robotic (Mako SmartRobotics(TM)) and manual techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain competency in solo case coverage for manual and robotic procedures
- Assist surgeons with pre-operative CT-based planning, implant sizing, and positioning using advanced software
- Support full case preparation, including instrumentation checks, equipment setup, and OR readiness
- Troubleshoot technical issues confidently and efficiently in the operating room
- Provide on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays
Technical Overview
The job includes CT-based planning, implant sizing, registration, and intra-operative support for Mako SmartRobotics(TM), plus manual instrumentation and OR protocol competency. You will troubleshoot technical issues during procedures and manage account coordination tasks such as inventory management, logistics, and case documentation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a clinical specialist-level professional with experience supporting orthopedic procedures, ideally with prior clinical exposure such as nursing, physical therapy, surgical technology, or similar roles. They can help surgeons with CT-based planning, implant sizing, registration, and intra-operative workflows for Mako SmartRobotics(TM), while also covering manual OR protocols and instrumentation readiness.
