Stryker is hiring a Field-based Clinical Specialist to support orthopedic surgeons in the operating room. The role focuses on robotic (Mako SmartRobotics (TM)) and manual procedure workflows, including CT-based planning, implant sizing, registration, case preparation, and on-call coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain competency in solo case coverage for manual and robotic procedures through hands-on training.
- Assist surgeons with pre-operative CT-based planning, implant sizing, and positioning using advanced software.
- Support full case preparation, including instrumentation checks, equipment setup, and OR readiness.
- Troubleshoot technical issues confidently and efficiently in the operating room.
- Provide on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Technical Overview
The Clinical Specialist will assist with pre-operative CT-based planning using advanced software, support implant sizing and registration, and provide intra-operative support for Mako SmartRobotics (TM). The role also includes OR readiness tasks such as instrumentation checks, equipment setup, real-time procedural workflow support, and technical troubleshooting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level Clinical Specialist with hands-on orthopedic or OR support experience and strong comfort working in a field-based territory model. They have experience (or coursework/training) related to CT-based planning, implant sizing, registration, and providing intra-operative support for robotic (Mako SmartRobotics (TM)) and manual orthopedic procedures, plus the ability to troubleshoot in real time and handle on-call coverage.
