About this role
Clinical Specialist role for joint replacement support in the operating room, covering both robotic and manual orthopedic procedures. The position focuses on CT-based planning, implant sizing, OR readiness, troubleshooting, training events, and on-call coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain competency in solo case coverage for manual and robotic procedures through hands-on training
- Assist surgeons with pre-operative CT-based planning, implant sizing, and positioning using advanced software
- Support full case preparation including instrumentation checks, equipment setup, and OR readiness
- Troubleshoot technical issues confidently and efficiently in the operating room
- Provide on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays
Technical Overview
Supports Mako SmartRobotics (TM) robotic workflows plus manual orthopedic OR procedures. Works with CT-based planning and advanced software to assist with implant sizing and positioning, supports registration, and handles instrumentation/equipment setup and troubleshooting in real time.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a clinically experienced professional who can support orthopedic surgeons with joint replacement cases in a field-based role. They can manage CT-based planning, implant sizing, and registration for Mako robotic workflows as well as manual OR procedures, while providing troubleshooting and on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
