About this role

Leidos seeks a senior Cloud Database Systems Architect to lead cloud-based data platform design, migration, and governance for defense/government programs. The role focuses on cloud database options (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB) and hybrid-cloud architectures with automation.

Key Responsibilities

Identifying and exploring industry database, storage, archiving and other data management solutions
Planning, designing and implementing cloud based database solution including RDS, No SQL, Aurora, DynamoDB
Creating and implementing scripts to automate deployment processes using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
Planning and executing the migration of existing on-premises databases to the cloud
Developing the High-Level Designs

Technical Overview

Stack includes AWS, Azure, Oracle, SQL/NoSQL with automation via CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible. Strong emphasis on security/compliance, on-prem-to-cloud migrations, and multi-cloud governance (GCC/GovCloud).

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior cloud database architect with 12+ years of experience, expert in AWS and Azure, and strong Oracle/SQL and NoSQL skills. Experience migrating on-prem databases to cloud and navigating GCC/GovCloud multi-governance is essential.
