About this role
This role performs troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs across a wide range of industrial systems while executing preventative maintenance and maintaining work orders. The mechanic also operates mobile equipment, performs diverse welding tasks, and supports training and supervisory coverage as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems and equipment
- Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance (bearings and oil seals)
- Maintain work orders and complete work area inspections
- Operate mobile equipment (forklifts, boom trucks, overhead cranes)
- Perform welding and fabrication (air arc, plasma arc, heli-arc, TIG, stick; Titanium/Duplex/Stainless Steel)
Technical Overview
The technical scope includes mechanical maintenance in high-temperature/high-pressure acidic environments, maintenance and repair of pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors, filters, dust collectors, SX circuits, scrubber systems, and boilers. Welding capabilities include air arc, plasma arc, heli-arc, TIG, and stick welding, including work on Titanium, Duplex, and Stainless Steel, alongside precision measurement and 480 volt and below LOTOTO procedures.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a maintenance craft professional with 2+ years of mechanical/maintenance experience (welder/boilermaker/machinist or industrial mechanical repair). They are proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial equipment in harsh operating conditions, including preventative maintenance on rotating components and strong welding experience with exotic metals, plus working knowledge of 480 volt and below LOTOTO procedures.
