About this role
Lead the operations and maintenance of a data center cluster for Amazon Dedicated Cloud, ensuring performance standards for safety, security, availability, capacity, people/ID&E, and cost. Manage geographically dispersed teams, execute launch/expansion operations support, and oversee vendor maintenance performance.

- Operation and maintenance of data center mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
- Oversight of teams responsible for installation, repair, and decommissioning of data center hardware and network devices
- Leading, managing, coaching, and developing cluster operations management teams
- Performance management of vendors and maintenance vendors
- Operations budgeting and management of capital expenditures and operating expenses
Technical Overview
You will run day-to-day data center operations across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance plus change management. The role also includes hardware and network device lifecycle oversight and incident/event response, recovery, and resolution in a 24x7 environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a proven senior operations leader for data centers supporting U.S. government agencies, with deep experience in mechanical, electrical, and controls system operations and 24x7 availability ownership. They have led geographically dispersed teams, managed vendor performance, executed infrastructure operations support for launches and expansions, and are able to maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
