About this role

The Commercial Participation Analyst maintains a portfolio of standard bought participation loans and performs administrative and analytical work to ensure accurate daily processing and reporting. The role acts as a liaison between relationship managers, corporate customers, agent banks, and other stakeholders while resolving issues and meeting SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain standard bought participation loan portfolio and ensure alignment of dates, rates, and balances
Resolve problems through research and thorough diligence of move money processes
Monitor and remediate reporting issues (Suspect, Past Due, High Balance, Aged Wires, Int Adjustment and Bill Forward)
Analyze agent bank notifications to identify and correct inconsistencies prior to posting
Input required transactions from agent bank notifications and maintain communication with Agent Bank

The role processes move money activities by inputting transaction data from agent bank notifications (payments, rate changes, advances, conversions) and analyzing notifications to correct inconsistencies before posting. It monitors reporting categories such as Suspect, Past Due, High Balance, Aged Wires, Int Adjustment, and Bill Forward to support risk management and service level compliance.

The ideal candidate is an entry-level banking professional with 1-2 years of banking experience and strong operational diligence. They have experience maintaining portfolios of standard bought participation loans, resolving reporting issues (Suspect/Past Due/High Balance/Aged Wires/Int Adjustment/Bill Forward), and processing notifications from agent banks for payments, rate changes, advances, and conversions. They are proficient in Microsoft Office with Word and Excel and can follow SLAs and bank policies to prevent near misses and operational losses.
