About this role
Senior role leading AWS InCommunities initiatives for the Midwest, based in Chicago. Drives strategy, stakeholder engagement, and event programs to create lasting community impact around Data Center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy development and bespoke execution of Community Engagement for major development project
- Design and execute InCommunites signature events and programs
- Communicate impact of InCommunities programs internally and externally; represent AWS Infrastructure publicly
- Serve as region's Issues Manager; be point of contact for community concerns
- Support community assessment for new sites; identify potential risks; develop engagement plan
Technical Overview
Focus on strategic community engagement, risk assessment, cross-functional collaboration with engineering/real estate/sustainability/legal/public relations, and data-driven measurement of program impact.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior-level community engagement professional with 10+ years in external affairs, public policy, communications or related fields, plus extensive infrastructure development experience. They excel at strategic program management, stakeholder cultivation, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver measurable community impact in a regional data-center context.
