About this role
Companion/IT support role at a senior living community providing non-nursing companion services plus basic tech support. The job includes resident companionship, housekeeping and daily living assistance, and setting up/troubleshooting/teaching hardware and software onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companion services for seniors
- Provide tech support by setting up, trouble shooting and teaching hardware and software
- Assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
- Provide transportation and escorts to appointments and social events
- Communicate and support residents with sensory loss (low vision, hearing)
Technical Overview
Provides resident-facing tech support by setting up, troubleshooting, and teaching hardware and software. Works independently to document services, and supports residents with sensory loss communication needs (low vision, hearing).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level or early-career IT support person who is comfortable providing tech support to seniors, including setting up, troubleshooting, and teaching basic hardware and software. They are warm, reliable, self-directed, and able to follow instructions while documenting services provided. They hold (or can obtain upon hire) a current CPR certification and can perform companion and light service duties onsite at the senior living community.
