About this role
Karls Technology is seeking a hands-on Computer Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service desktops and laptops (Windows, macOS, Chromebooks) and related network hardware on-site in Tampa. The role requires CompTIA A+ or ability to obtain within 90 days, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, build, troubleshoot, service and repair desktops and laptops (Windows PCs, Apple MacOS and Chromebooks)
- Configure and troubleshoot network equipment (routers, switches, network hardware)
- Instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks
- Install and troubleshoot peripherals and mobile devices
- Maintain professional appearance, detailed notes, and on-time attendance
Technical Overview
Role combines hardware repair, desktop support, and basic networking hardware installation across client sites, with mobile device configuration and driver support.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level computer technician with strong hardware and desktop support skills, comfortable performing on-site visits in Tampa, and possessing or willing to obtain CompTIA A+ certification within 90 days.
