About this role
Boeing is seeking a Computing Architect to design and support web-based integrated systems, tooling, and product roadmaps. The role emphasizes system design leadership, trade studies for tool selection (including COTS), and proposing AI integrations within a knowledge-graph-aware approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architecture and design of web based integrated systems
- Provide design and architectural support for on-going tools in development and production
- Conduct Proof of Concepts for feasibility and performance as needed
- Define transitional architecture and product roadmaps aligned with the business priorities
- Propose and lead Artificial Intelligence (AI) integrations and capabilities
Technical Overview
You will architect microservices and real-time large-scale integrations using Java (Spring Boot, WildFly, JPA, Maven) and JavaScript (Angular, JQuery), supported by GitLab and Azure DevOps CI/CD. The environment targets cloud and container platforms such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud and Docker/Kubernetes, with advanced data modeling across SQL and NoSQL databases.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level to senior software architect with 3+ years of experience building web-based integrated systems using Java and microservices. They have hands-on experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud/container technologies like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, plus strong data modeling across SQL and NoSQL databases.
