Research connected vehicle data analytics to improve safety, infotainment, and traffic efficiency using wireless connectivity. Develop and validate vehicular data analytics applications through prototyping, simulations, and empirical experimental measurements, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop connected vehicle data analytics applications for safety, infotainment, and traffic efficiency
- Develop and implement vehicular data analytics applications in prototyping systems
- Evaluate and analyze protocols and systems via simulations or empirical experimental measurements
- Participate in government-funded research work (USDOT collaboration projects)
- Document research work through internal and external publications and facilitate technology transfer
Technical Overview
Works in a connected vehicle research lab applying wireless communication and data science to build and evaluate protocol- and service-based analytics applications. Conducts simulation-based and measurement-based experimentation, with potential exposure to cloud and edge computing and AI/ML data analytics.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a research-oriented professional with a Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or civil engineering and experience in connected vehicle data analytics, particularly around wireless communication and wireless network protocols. They can evaluate solutions via simulations and empirical experimental measurements and communicate results through internal/external publications in peer-reviewed journals. They are comfortable collaborating across labs, cross-functional teams, and academic research partners.
