About this role
Data Center Construction Manager responsible for construction project management and oversight of new builds or capital projects, including scope, quality, schedule, and budget for electrical and mechanical systems in AWS data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases
- Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals
- Create construction project scope and RFPs
- Perform financial analysis of construction
- Manage projects to increase data center resiliency
Technical Overview
Experience with electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure; knowledge of life safety and building codes; proficiency with MS Excel and engineering documentation; strong leadership and vendor management.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior construction manager with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of data center project management experience, including construction management, power systems, and code compliance.
