About this role
This Senior Construction Manager role leads construction teams and coordinates with construction management and inspection teams to plan, execute, and close out natural gas pipeline and other natural gas power construction projects. The position emphasizes safety and requires experience managing large, complex industrial construction efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead construction planning, coordination, and execution for natural gas pipeline projects
- Manage power plant construction including combined cycle/simple cycle/CHP/gas turbine generation
- Oversee large projects greater than $50M with fast track schedules and contractor coordination
- Support QA/QC staffing, cost/schedule management, and contracting strategy inputs
- Review contractor schedules and execution plans, manage extra work claims, and lead progress reporting and closeout
Technical Overview
The scope includes construction management for power plants and pipeline-related projects: front end construction planning, estimate development, contract management, QA/QC staffing inputs, cost and schedule management, contractor schedule/execution plan review, claims handling, progress reporting, and construction closeout—under CCM (CMAA) standards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Senior Construction Manager with 8+ years of related experience, including 5+ years on large projects greater than $50M. They have construction management experience on power plants (combined cycle, simple cycle, CHP, and/or gas turbine generation), strong contractor coordination skills, and hold CCM (CMAA) Certification with a safety-first approach.
