About this role
AECOM Tishman is seeking a Project Director to oversee a large-scale ground-up data center construction project in Virginia. The role leads project strategy, manages budget and change orders, coordinates on-site operations with the CM’s team, and ensures milestones are met on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full project lifecycle from pre-construction through commissioning/completion
- Serve as primary liaison to AECOM Tishman Project Executive team, design teams, subcontractors, and client/stakeholders
- Direct day-to-day construction operations and ensure milestones are met on time and within budget
- Manage project budget and oversee change order process with management team
- Champion and enforce a zero-incident safety culture
Technical Overview
This is a construction management leadership role with strong emphasis on pre-construction through commissioning/completion. It requires direct oversight of day-to-day construction operations, stakeholder coordination, and deep understanding of architectural, mechanical, and technical considerations—supported by Microsoft Office Suite tools like Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction leader with 12+ years of construction management experience, including at least 4 years in leadership roles. They have led the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through commissioning/completion for large ground-up projects, and they can direct day-to-day operations while managing budget, change orders, and a zero-incident safety culture.
