The Maintenance Controller maintains continuous surveillance over the airworthiness of JetBlue’s aircraft fleet and serves as the single interface between Technical Operations and Dispatch for maintenance concerns. The role coordinates unscheduled maintenance, supports AOG recovery, and ensures deferred maintenance and operational delay/cancellation tracking are accurately maintained.

  • Provide real time surveillance of aircraft airworthiness and resolve in-service discrepancies
  • Serve as the single point of contact between Technical Operations and Dispatch for maintenance concerns
  • Supervise and coordinate unscheduled maintenance functions using JetBlue Airways procedures
  • Coordinate Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery plans and provide technical advice for out-of-service aircraft
  • Oversee deferred maintenance tracking and record delays, cancellations, and flight interruptions

This operational role focuses on aircraft maintenance control using real-time aircraft monitoring applications. It includes coordination across maintenance and operations stakeholders, administration of the deferred maintenance process, and adherence to the general maintenance manual and Operations Specification requirements, with FAA-certified airframe/powerplant knowledge.

The ideal candidate is an experienced aircraft maintenance professional (5+ years) with heavy transport aircraft experience and an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. They can operate real-time aircraft monitoring applications, coordinate unscheduled maintenance and AOG recovery, manage deferred maintenance tracking, and communicate effectively with Technical Operations, Dispatch, Engineering, and multiple maintenance stakeholders.
