About this role
Carrier is hiring an experienced Controls Field Engineer to design and implement controls solutions for commercial HVAC projects. The role includes software and database creation, documentation (including as-builts and O&M manuals), and field testing/commissioning support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design controls software and standards for programming and documentation projects
- Create submittals and interpret project specifications and MEP drawings
- Document and track completion using as-builts and final program notation
- Test programs to ensure sequences of operation meet industry standards
- Perform HVAC system inspections and functional system checkouts, support commissioning
Technical Overview
You will produce controls design deliverables and implement control programs using customer and company standards, including graphic function blocks and sequences of operation. Work includes testing HVAC system point-to-point, creating equipment and floor plan graphics, and supporting commissioning via functional checkpoints and documentation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Controls Field Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Building Automation Systems. They can design and implement control software, generate documentation (including as-builts and O&M manuals), and perform HVAC functional checkouts and commissioning support.
