Carrier is hiring an experienced Controls Field Engineer responsible for controls project software design, database creation, implementation of controls design/standards, and delivery of complete project documentation. The role includes fieldwork with controllers and associated HVAC components and requires testing sequences of operation and producing as-builts and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Software design and database creation for controls projects
- Implement controls design and standards for programming and documentation
- Test programs to verify sequences of operation against industry standards
- Inspect HVAC systems and perform functional system checkouts
- Create submittals, read specifications/MEP drawings, and deliver as-builts plus Operation & Maintenance Manuals

This position focuses on Building Automation Systems (BAS) controls engineering: designing software, creating project databases, programming and documenting controls, and validating sequences of operation via testing. It also covers HVAC inspection (point-to-point), graphics engineering (equipment and floor plan graphics), and commissioning support through functional checkpoints lists.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Controls Field Engineer with 2+ years in Building Automation Systems and strong field experience working with controllers and HVAC components. They can design controls software, create project databases, test sequences of operation, and deliver complete documentation including as-builts and Operation & Maintenance Manuals, with commissioning support.
