D.R. Horton is hiring a Customer Service Technician to manage homeowner warranty requests and proactively resolve issues after a home closing. The role includes evaluating repair needs, performing certain repairs, scheduling subcontractors, ensuring compliance, and handling follow-up communication and billing documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate homeowner repair issues for warrantability
- Process work orders and instructions for homeowner repairs
- Perform carpentry, drywall, texture repair, and painting work
- Schedule and manage subcontractors for warranty repairs
- Process charge-back documentation and invoices and follow up with homeowners
Technical Overview
This role uses DRH Warranty applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop to process and track warranty work orders. It also relies on MS Office and email for documentation and communication; no software development is involved.

The ideal candidate is a customer-focused technician with 3+ years of related experience performing carpentry, drywall, texture repair, and painting work. They can evaluate homeowner warranty repair issues, process written or electronic work orders, and schedule subcontractors to complete repairs within compliance standards. They are comfortable using DRH Warranty applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop and communicating professionally with homeowners and subcontractors, including handling follow-ups and invoices.
